AI is making it easier than ever to generate Playwright tests, but faster test creation does not automatically lead to better software quality. In fact, without the right strategy, AI-generated tests can create more noise, more maintenance, and a false sense of confidence.
This session explores the gap between generated tests and trusted tests. We’ll look at where AI helps, where it falls short, and why human judgment is still critical when validating real user journeys and business-critical workflows. Attendees will learn how to move beyond test volume and focus on the signals that actually matter: stable locators, meaningful assertions, reliable test data, CI discipline, and review practices that keep automation useful over time.
The goal is not to build more tests. The goal is to build tests teams can trust.
